Our Story
In late 2024, Five passionate young changemakers meet BRAC training on organizational development. There, they discussed the pressing issues of Bagerhat, the underdeveloped roads, poor waste management, and the problem of salinity. At one point in their discussion, they came to a profound realization: “Real change will not come from someone else it must be brought about by ourselves, through the hands of the youth.”
From this realization, a youth-led organization was born—one that would not only identify problems but also work towards their sustainable solutions. With a plan to focus on climate and environmental improvement through the efforts of young people, the organization was named the Climate and Youth Development Organization (CYDO).
Through hard work, planning, and determination, their dream became a reality. On 7 January 2025, CYDO received its official registration from the Department of Youth Development. That day marked not just the birth of an organization but the beginning of a movement for change.
