Nari Bolei Pari

Nari Bolei Pari

Project Overview:

Ensuring the safety and confidence of girls is essential for building an inclusive and empowered society. Recognizing the challenges many girls face in public spaces and daily life, CYDO launched “Nari Bolei Pari” (Because I Am a Woman, I Can) — a special self-defense training program designed to equip girl students with practical skills, confidence, and awareness to protect themselves.

This initiative focuses not only on physical self-defense techniques but also on strengthening mental resilience, situational awareness, and decision-making abilities. Through structured training sessions led by qualified instructors, participants learn how to respond effectively to potential threats and navigate their environments with greater confidence.

Why This Project Matters:

Many girls experience fear, harassment, or insecurity that can limit their mobility, education, and personal growth. Self-defense education is a powerful tool that promotes independence, reduces vulnerability, and encourages girls to stand up for their rights.

By investing in their safety and empowerment, we are helping create a generation of strong, confident young women who can actively contribute to society without fear.

Objectives:

  • Equip girl students with practical self-defense skills.
  • Build confidence and promote a sense of personal security.
  • Raise awareness about safety, rights, and risk prevention.
  • Encourage leadership and self-reliance among young women.
  • Foster supportive communities that prioritize women’s safety.

Our Approach:

CYDO implements this program through a structured and participatory model:

  • Organizing hands-on self-defense training sessions facilitated by professional trainers.
  • Collaborating with educational institutions to ensure safe and accessible participation.
  • Integrating awareness on personal safety, harassment prevention, and emergency response.
  • Encouraging interactive learning to enhance engagement and skill retention.
  • Creating a supportive environment where girls feel empowered to learn and grow.

Expected Impact:

  • Increased confidence and self-esteem among participants.
  • Improved ability to recognize and respond to unsafe situations.
  • Greater awareness of personal rights and safety strategies.
  • Enhanced participation of girls in education and community life without fear.
  • Stronger community commitment to protecting and empowering women.
