Building Resilient Communities: CYDO’s Participation in Mental Health Training
We are delighted to share that our Co-Founder and General Secretary, Khan Asadur Rahman, proudly represented CYDO at a four-day Intensive Training on Mental Health Care for Community Leaders held at the CCDB Climate Centre. The training was thoughtfully organized by Mindwizz, bringing together passionate leaders and changemakers dedicated to promoting community well-being.
The Purpose of the Training
The training program was designed to enhance the knowledge and skills of community leaders in the area of mental health awareness, first-aid practices, and building resilience within communities. In today’s world, where stress, trauma, and uncertainty have become common, understanding and addressing mental health challenges is more important than ever. The sessions emphasized practical strategies for recognizing mental health concerns, providing immediate support, and fostering a culture of care.
Why This Matters
Mental health is often overlooked, yet it is an essential pillar of overall well-being. For youth-led organizations like CYDO, building capacity in this area ensures that leaders can not only guide their teams but also support individuals who may be struggling in silence. By equipping leaders with essential mental health first-aid skills, this initiative contributes to breaking stigmas and creating safe spaces for open conversations.
CYDO’s Commitment
CYDO has always believed in empowering youth and communities for a more sustainable and inclusive society. Participation in this training reflects our ongoing commitment to mental well-being, recognizing that strong mental health is the foundation for achieving personal and collective goals. Through such initiatives, we aim to strengthen our ability to serve communities with empathy, resilience, and understanding.
Moving Forward
With the knowledge gained from this training, CYDO looks forward to integrating mental health awareness and practices into our ongoing programs. We believe that small actions—listening with empathy, offering support, and spreading awareness—can create long-term positive impacts in society.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Mindwizz for organizing this impactful training and to CCDB Climate Centre for hosting such an inspiring learning environment. Together, we move one step closer to building resilient, caring, and mentally healthy communities.
